Installing a new version of BluPlusPlus
========================================

New versions of BluPlusPlus are available at the JAlbum skin Repository
(http://jrepository.engblom.org/). When a new version of JAlbum is released,
it comes bundled with the latest available version of BluPlusPlus.

If you have downloaded a version of BluPlusPlus that is newer than the one
bundled with your version of JAlbum, it must be installed in the <JAlbum SKINS>
folder.

** Location of the <JAlbum SKINS> Folder
In the instructions below, the location of the JAlbum skins folder is referred
to as <JAlbum SKINS>:
- Windows Users will typically find the JAlbum skin files in
C:\Program Files\JAlbum\skins. You will need to navigate to that folder.
Windows users can "drill down" to that location by beginning with
Start-->My Computer-->C:\. If this is not the location of JAlbum skin files
on your computer, you will need to use either Windows Explorer or the
built-in search function to locate the skins folder.
- Macintosh users will typically find the JAlbum skin files in
/Applications//JAlbum/skins. You will need to navigate to that folder.
You can "drill down" to that location by doubleclicking on your main hard
drive icon and then opening the Applications folder to find the JAlbum
  folder.

Instructions for all platforms
-------------------------------
1. Download the new version of BluPlusPlus to your computer (if so prompted by
your browser, save the download to a convenient place, such as your desktop).
2. Depending on your system settings, your computer may or may not
automatically expand the file that was downloaded. If it does not expand
the file automatically, double-click the downloaded zip file to extract the
folder BluPlusPlus from the zipped downloaded file.
3. Be sure to quit JAlbum before proceeding.
4. Navigate to the <JAlbum SKINS> folder (see instructions above for the
location of this folder for your particular platform).
5. If you wish to keep your current version of BluPlusPlus, rename the
"BluPlusPlus" folder to something else (e.g. "BluPlusPlusx_y", where x_y
   is the version number).
6. Drag the expanded BluPlusPlus folder obtained in step #2 into the <JA SKINS>
folder. If you did not rename the existing BluPlusPlus folder in step 5,
you will prompted to agree to replace the existing BluPlusPlus folder with
   the new one.
