WHAT IS IT:

Bubblegum is a daemon which watches a files access, modification and inode
change times, logs results to either a regular file or to syslogd(8) and 
optionally runs a command.

INSTALLATION:
-------------
If you want support for MD5 checking you'll need to have libmd installed. You
can find it at http://www.penguin.cz/~mhi/libmd/ if you dont have an already
packaged version available for your OS.

Type './configure' then optionally edit 'config.h' to set some custom
defaults. Then type 'make install' to build and install the binary and manual
page. Read the manual page with 'man bubblegum' for more information.
