The following features are planned in future versions of the software. Points
marked with ** need contributions, because the present author will not have
the time for learning the things needed for completing them.

** Making standard packages from the tarball (DEB, RPM)

 * Making the linearity of the logarithmic amplitude scale run-time
   configurable with a dialog box.

 * Logarithmic frequency scale, so a piano keyboard can be drawn under the
spectrum. (I think the 256 point FFT made by XMMS will not be good for
this, maybe a special time->frequency transformation should be used like
   wavelet to stay efficient)

 * If using own time->frequency conversion, some windowing can improve the
quality of the spectrum seen when narrow-band instruments or sharp
harmonics exist in the sample (nearly always)

** Delay the data got, because it seems to me, that the spectrum comes a bit
   earlier than the sound appears.

** Internationalization like Simple Spectrum Analyzer in XMMS 1.2.4

** Correct any misuse of the poor old English language in the texts.
