Generating the mesh by assignment of sizes on surfaces

1. Choose Meshing Assign Sizes Surfaces. A window comes up in which to enter the element size for the surfaces to be selected. Enter size 1.
2. Select the surfaces of the elbow.
3. Choose Meshing Generate.
4. A window appears asking whether the previous mesh should be eliminated. Click Yes.
5. Another window comes up in which to enter the maximum element size. Leave the default value provided by GiD unaltered and click OK.
6. Choose Meshing Boundaries to see only the contour of the meshed volumes but not their interior. (Figure 35)

7. A greater concentration of elements has been achieved on the selected surfaces.
