Hello. Thanks for downloading KHacc.

KHacc is a simple home accounting program written in C++ with the Qt
toolkit and KDE libraries. It has a number of features, including
memorized and scheduled transactions, multiple account types,
auto-completion of frequently used transactions, double- and
single-entry bookkeeping, and rudimentary graphing and reporting. It has
as few dependencies as possible: just the QHacc libraries, KDE, Qt, and a
compiler are necessary to build it. QHacc is necessary to build KHacc.

If you like KHacc, please consider sending me a postcard saying so. The

I'm not expecting any earth-shattering vows of fealty, but I would like
to see the different places KHacc may be used. I imagine something like
"Hello from Oklahoma" or "KHacc's running in Memphis." And to sweeten
the deal, if you put a return address on the postcard, I'll mail you one
from beautiful Charlottesville, Virginia, USA.

This is KHacc 3.3. It's a development release, but it ain't half
bad. I'll keep it short and sweet this time: I've readded support for
market transactions! The syntax is very simple: if you bought 10 shares
at $20/share, you would put 10@20 in the credit field of the transaction
editor. If you turned around and sold the shares for $22 each, you'd put
10@22 in the withdrawal field. You get what you pay for, of course. The
functionality doesn't go much further than that.

Also sneaking into this release are a couple more preference options,
like one for allowing you to reconcile all journals at once. Hopefully
this one will cut down on the confusion present in previous releases of
the reconcile window. Another neat feature is the ability to void out
transactions. (Strictly speaking, accounting systems usually don't allow
you to delete or alter transactions; you can only void them.)

I hope you enjoy this release. If so, why not send a postcard?

Thanks for downloading.
