This program, ``muuz'' is software created for self-help purposes,
among them help the user with deep relaxation, concentration, to help
the user energize him or herself, to teach meditation, or simply for fun.

No health claims whatsoever are made and in fact, to keep the FDA happy,
you should consider Muuz as a game or strictly for fun. There are more
than 50 years of strict scientific research behind the specifics of how
this program works, but that doesn't begin to satisfy the FDA.

You should NOT use this program if you are prone to seizures of any kind
or if, simply, flashing lights bother you. This applies mostly to
children who normally outgrow this problem. Use common sense.

This is distributed as SHAREWARE rather than by the BSD or GPL
copyright schemas. For use by private individuals, you are free to use
this without payment, although a minimal $25 is suggested.

For further explaination of the license, please read the file ``LICENSE.''
and ``COPYING'' if you are interested.

== This release muuz-0.25

This initial release is relatively primitive and very likely to break
unless gently handled. About a quarter of the final functionality is
in place.

This version of muuz lacks any MIDI handling--the audio side is my
weakest. It also lacks the ability to let the user create his own
mind-machine programs. Depending on the number of volunteer hackers
who join in (or not!) it may be 7 to 10 years before this program
reaches its full potential and completion.

The first published version, ported to the Intel-architecture BSD
lacks any of the images that will be on the flashform rectangle--
the rectangular area that flashes Color-to-Black. Various nifty
images and color-cyclings are in the works; these will maintain the
same frequency pulse as at present and won't affect the efficiency
of Muuz.

== Documentation

For a brief tutorial introduction, see the file TUTORIAL.

The upper-right ``Help'' button on the menu-bar of the muuz menuframe
is just beginning to be flushed out. The informational files in the
documentary directory are the same as that are available via the
drop-down menu.

The online documentation is likely to be the most current, and in any
event, will have some JPEG's.
