Subject: Seeking Permission

Dear Mr. Trusty,

Ordinarily we would not give permission to post extensive amounts of
material from the books of Alice Bailey over the internet. However, since
the Yoga Sutras of Patanjali are not really "ours", even though the
translation which appears in The Light of the Soul by Alice Bailey was done
the Tibetan teacher Djwhal Khul, we don't believe we can refuse you. If we
understand you correctly, your intention is to post only the translation of the Yoga Sutras and not the commentary in a rotating order so that the Linux
user will come upon one sutra at a time when logging into the program; is
that correct? If so, we don't see any problem with your using the Yoga
Sutras as translated in The Light of the Soul. We would appreciate your
indicating somewhere that these particular translations come from The Light
of the Soul by Alice Bailey, copyright Lucis Trust and reproduced with the
permission of the Lucis Trust. That way, if users are interested in
following up, they should be able to find further information about the
books either under "Alice Bailey" or the "Lucis Trust".

With all good wishes to you in your work.

        Yours very truly,

        Sarah McKechnie
        President
