NEWS for ZNibbles 0.0.7
=======================

A lot of changes in this version, please see the WHATSNEW file.

The GTK client is now able to handle two players simultaneously.
After launching the client, press <Control-A> to add the 2nd player,
and then play with keys "s,d,f,e". This way you could be 20 players
on only 10 machines :)

The overall performances of the game have been improved, and thus a
lot more players can play together without affecting game playability.

Now I would like to make this game look better (yeah, I know it is
not really sexy right now...), but I'm really bad at drawing things.
If anyone wants to help in creating a nice look and nice graphics,
get in touch :) Mail me at vmallet@enst.fr

NEWS for ZNibbles 0.0.6
=======================

This release of ZNibbles is much more stable and should
be easier to build. See the file WHATSNEW for a list of
changes and the file README for a little more information.

NEWS for ZNibbles 0.0.5-beta (obsolete)
============================

News for 0.0.4-beta apply for this version too.

NEWS for ZNibbles 0.0.4-beta (obsolete)
============================

A new GTK client is included in this release. This is only
preliminary work ! It kind of works here and I want to know
if other people can get it to work too.

BUT: makefiles are broken. You cannot compile it if you don't
have motif and gtk properly installed... Because the Motif
client is compiled before the GTK client and there is no rules
in Makefiles to allow conditional compile
(note : if you feel like modifying configure.in and
makefile.am's, go ahead !)

If you have both Motif and GTK, a
  ./configure
  make
should be fine (I hope so anyway).

The GTK client is full of bugs and is under work ! Don't expect
it to look too shiny. It has a lot of focus and refresh problems.

Enough for now.
Hope you can do something with that. Otherwise the next version
will hopefully fix the major problems.

NEWS for ZNibbles 0.0.2 (obsolete)
=======================

Here's another version of ZNibbles... So what's new ?

The main difference with previous releases is that now you
should be able to get it to compile on your system, provided
you have Motif installed somewhere. I've completely rewritten
makefiles from scratch using autoconf and automake..

Another thing is that I included the DLList.cc file into the
ZNibbles distribution so you won't get a compile error if you
don't have it.

I also hacked the communication code so that intel and non-intel
games can communicate together.

I included a 'TODO' list for those interested in hacking code
around..

Please report all troubles you have compiling or running this
game.. vmallet@enst.fr

Have fun (play with a lot of players, this is fun)
