4 Starting a QCad Session
Windows Operating Systems
Start QCad by selecting it from the Start menu or by double-clicking on it in Explorer.
Linux / Unix Operating Systems
If you installed QCad from an RPM package or an other distribution specific package, you can launch QCad from the console by typing:
qcad &
If QCad can not be found in the search path, you have to change to the directory where you've installed QCad first and launch QCad from there:
cd /home/tux/qcad
./qcad &
Mac OS X Operating System
Double-click on the QCad application icon in Finder.
