Dock Warehouse IconPack 2 for WindowMaker Whats this: 36 TIFF format 48x48 icons suitable for the WindowMaker desktop & a complementary file manager. Whos it from: The Dock Warehouse, http://members.xoom.com/icondock/ What do I need: WindowMaker with tiff support compiled in (usually what most have) and a 65K+ color display. Other apps or window managers (afterstep comes to mind) may require that you convert these to XPM format. Degrading them for use with 256 color displays is up to you. How do I use them? Place all the tiffs in the extracted folder into your pixmaps folder...mine is /usr/local/share/pixmaps/. I can't get them to work! What do I do? Make sure they're in a pixmap dir thats specified in your WindowMaker config files. For corruption type problems, batch converting them to TIFFs again usually fixes any cross platform TIFF trouble. For whatever rea son, a TIFF in windows is a little different from a TIFF in mac which is different from a TIFF in linux (or other unix type os). I'm just going to assume that if I can preview them in XV, they will work for you. Worst case scenario would be that I'll fix whats broken (just ask) and I'll update the archive. What do you want from us? Requests! Send requests, comments, opinions to arik7@ibm.net. Visit http://members.xoom.com/icondock/ once in a while too. Is there like a license on these? Huh? I don't know, they're free but some use company trademarks. There's some consequences for that, but I haven't consulted my team of lawyers (including good friend Johnny Cochrane) yet. Worst case scenario would be that I'd flea to finland. Nah make that Holland.
