The "shell" is the method through which you communicate with Freeport BBS. 
The following shells are available:

menu - This shell uses menus which allow you to select with a couple key-
       strokes what you want to do and where you want to go.

The shells listed below may be confusing for users new to UNIX.  If you pick
one of them and later have trouble,  enter  help  to bring up a  help  menu.

bash - This is sh with added features.
csh  - This is a common shell which dates back to the begining of UNIX.
ksh  - This is a common shell for "UNIX gurus."  (NOT AVAILABLE YET)
sh   - This is a common shell.
tcsh - This is csh with some added features.

If in doubt, choose menu; you may always change your selection even after your
account is created and being actively used by you.
